Shebin Elkom - Arab Today
A court in Shebin El Kom of Menofia, north of Cairo, turned down a lawsuit filed by businessman Ahmed Ezz against a decision to exclude him from running in the coming parliamentary elections.
The administrative court upheld the decision of the elections committee which said he could not run in elections as he had not a valid postal account for election campaigning expenditures.
His accounts are frozen upon a prosecution decision pending his trial in former cases.
Egypt plans to hold parliamentary polls in October and November.
