Defense Minister General Sedki Sobhi agreed on Sunday to open the door for a new batch of volunteers and desert trackers who wish to join the Armed Forces.

Applicants should be holders of preparatory school degree or its equivalents or having a technical education diploma, Maj. Gen. Mohi el Din Kamal Abdel Aleemi, the head of the Army Administration of Recruitment and Mobilization, said.

The applicants must be unmarried, born to Egyptian parents and not less than 15 years or over 25 years of age, he added.

Applications will start on Saturday and run till November 19.
