Minister of Defense Sidqy Sobhy attended Monday armed forces maneuver Nasr 13 of the second field army in Sinai that runs for several days.
Units of mechanical infantry, armored and and artillery units as well as air force and air defense forces took part in the maneuver.
Sobhy praised the efforts of the armed forces in protecting Egypt's borders and combating terror and extremism in Sinai.
He lauded the Egyptian armed forces and police in protecting the three-day Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC) in Sharm el Sheikh in a message to the world that Egypt is safe.
The armed forces insist to restore Egypt on track and security and safety in Sinai.
