Defense Minister Sedqi Sobhy witnessed Sunday the main phase in "Badr 30" maneuver of the Egyptian army.

The maneuver comes within an annual plan of combat training at the armed forces.

Sobhy discussed with a number of commanders and officers participating in the drill their duties.

Sobhy lauded the distinguished performance of all the forces partaking in the project, asserting the necessity to have different methods in planning and implementing duties and activities.

He greeted the armed forces on the occasion of the holy fasting month of Ramadan, calling on them to remain on high alert and ready to sacrifice their lives for Egypt at any time.
