Egypt's Ambassador in Beirut Mohamed Badr al Din has called on Tuesday for enhancing cooperation between Egypt and Lebanon in the field of construction materials.

There are several opportunities to increase Egypt's exports of construction materials to Lebanon and African countries in cooperation with Lebanese businessmen working in west African countries, the ambassador said.

The remarks were made during a meeting held between an Egyptian promotion mission working in the field of building materials and Chamber of Commerce in Tripoli and North Lebanon during the 2nd day of "Egypt-Lebanon . .To Africa" conference", kicked off Monday.

The gathering seeks to enhance cooperation to increase exports to Africa, the ambassador said.

For his part, Mr. Tawfiq Dabousy, head of and Chamber of Commerce in Tripoli and North Lebanon, stressed the importance of enhancing relations with the Egyptian side, whether to export to Lebanon or countries in West Africa.
