A diplomatic source denied on Thursday reports that an Egyptian youth committed suicide several years ago after failing to join the diplomatic corps due to his low social class.

Such reports are baseless, the source said.

He added that Abdel Hamid Sheta, the one the media talked about, had not applied for the Foreign Ministry tests.
