Egypt's Ambassador here Mohamed Badrelddin Zayed met with Director General of the Lebanese Internal Security Forces Major General Ibrahim Basbous on Thursday to discuss the latest developments in the two countries.
In a statement, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said Zayed during the meeting said that Egypt is facing a long battle against terrorism.
The Egyptian authorities had achieved a tangible improvement at the security front thanks to the measures they had adopted, Zayed said.
Meanwhile, Basbous reviewed the security situation in Lebanon and the fallout of the Syrian crisis on the borders.
