Ramallah - MENA
Egypt’s Ambassador to Palestinian Wael Nasreddin participated in a Palestinian march last night held to mark the first death anniversary of Mohammed Abu Khdeir, a 16-year-old Palestinian teenager from the occupied East Jerusalem who was kidnapped, tortured and burned alive last year by Israeli extremists in an act of revenge for the killing of three Israeli youths.
The Egyptian envoy described the crime as brutal and shows the need to end the Israeli occupation and enable the Palestinian people to achieve their legitimate aspirations of establishing an independent state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The march started from Abu Khdeir’s house in occupied East Jerusalem with hundreds holding his pictures and national flags.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas had presented an honorary medal to Abu Khdeir’s parents on his death anniversary.
