Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry left Saturday to Saudi Arabia to take part in the funeral of former Saudi foreign minister Prince Saud al Faisal who passed away on Thursday.
Shoukry mourned the late prince as he had a life full of dedication and continuous work and many honorable stances serving Arab and Muslim nations, the Foreign Ministry spokesman Badr Abdel-Ati said.
The minister stressed that the Egyptians would never forget Prince Saud's support to Egypt and the Arab nation as a whole during his tenure, especially his backing to Egypt after June 30 Revolution.
Faisal, the world's longest-serving foreign minister, died at the age of 75.
