The Egyptian Foreign Ministry denied media reports that a delegation representing Yemen's Houthis, now controlling the capital Sanaa, had met with officials at the ministry.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Badr Abdel Aati renewed Egypt's support for the legitimate institutions in Yemen.
He underlined the importance that Yemeni institutions would shoulder their national responsibilities to preserve the integrity of Yemeni territories and the interests of the people.
