The Council of Governors met under Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab on Monday to discuss a number of vital files, including preparations for celebrations marking the opening of the new Suez Canal on Thursday.

The meeting also took up service and development projects underway in different governorates and the need to complete their infrastructure.

The council will also discuss preparations for the new school year.

A meeting will be held after the governors’ meeting of the ministerial economic group to probe the economic situation.
