The Egyptian Iftaa House has mourned the death of Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdel Aziz.
"We condole with the Saudi people and the Arab and Muslim nations over the death of King Abdullah bin Adel Aziz," the Egyptian mufti said in a cable to the Saudi ambassador in Cairo.
"Saudi Arabia and the Arab world have lost a wise leader who made many achievements for the Arab and Muslim worlds and defended Arab and Muslim issues at international gatherings," the mufti said.
"The Egyptian people will not forget historic stances of King Abdullah bin Abdel Aziz toward Egypt, its people and Al Azhar."
