Security sources said that new Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar held Thursday a meeting with his assistant for police officers' affairs sector Major General Ayman Gad.
During the prolonged meeting, Abdel Ghaffar was briefed on the structure of the ministry and its human resources needs, the sources told MENA.
The sources added that the minister will hold more meetings with his aides during the coming period to be updated on various security plans, especially the plans to secure Sharm el Sheikh economic conference.
