Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar called on Saturday for launching preemptive strikes against terrorist groups.
The minister made the statement during a meeting with a number of his aids to set a security strategy for the coming period.
He also called on all security men across the state to cooperate and work hard to render the new strategy a success.
"A nationwide plan was set to secure the Egypt Economic Development Conference in cooperation with the Armed Forces," he said.
Also, Abdel Ghaffar stressed the importance of improving the combat skills of security forces.
