Activities of the seventh meeting of heads of the national central offices of the Middle East and North Africa of Interpol kicked off in Hurghada in the Red Sea on Monday under Minister of Interior Magdy Abdel Ghaffar in coordination with the international Interpol.
Attending the activities were representatives from the Interpol national offices of Jordan, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Morocco, Sudan, Tunisia, Egypt, Oman, Qatar, Lebanon and Mauritania.
Director of the Operational Police Support Directorate of the Interpol Michael O'connell called for more cooperation among the world countries to fight terrorism, organized crimes and drug trafficking, praising Egypt's efforts in this domain.
For his part, Cairo Interpol director Hassan Abul Ela asserted the minister of interior had directed continuation of cooperation to combat terrorism and extradite criminals.
