A spokesman for the Interior Ministry has denied news of Mohamed Ibrahim's resignation.
The interior minister has not resigned and has been carrying out his duties from his office since 6.00 a.m, Hani Abdel Latif told MENA Monday.
Ibrahim is currently holding a meeting with a number of his assistants to review a plan to secure a visit by Russian President Vladimir Putin later today, Abdel Latif added.
