An Egyptian-Italian cooperation is underway to unveil the circumstances of death of an Italian national, whose body was found Wednesday in Cairo, said the foreign ministry spokesman.
In statements earlier in the day, Ahmed Abu Zeid said that the last 24 hours witnessed high-level contacts between Cairo and Rome regarding the issue.
In few hours, an Italian delegation is expected to arrive in Cairo to take part in and coordinate with Egyptian concerned authorities in regard to following up the crime, Abu Zeid added.
The current contacts between the two sides reveal the profound relations between the two countries that are characterized by cooperation and mutual trust, the spokesman said.
