The Ministry of Justice mourned the death of Prosecutor General counselor Hesham Barakat who died in a terrorist car bomb attack that targeted his motorcade in Heliopolis Monday morning.

In a statement, the ministry said that a medical team of Al Nozha international hospital had a surgical operation on Barakat who suffered an internal hemorrhage and died later in hospital.

The statement said that Barakat did his job bravely and never feared terrorist threats, calling for confronting terrorist groups.
