An electricity observatory said Friday power deficit reached 3,800 megawatts on Thursday.
In a daily bulletin, the Egyptian Electric Utility and Consumer Protection Regulatory Agency said that the maximum power load today was projected to hit 25,350 megawatts compared to 27,000 on Thursday.
The minimum power load Thursday was 20,518 megawatts, it added.
Egypt is trying to reduce the consumption of electricity as many people complain of daily power cuts.
