Transport Minister Hany Dahy visited on Thursday Wadi el Natroun-Alamein road to follow up the workflow there.
In statements, Dahy said a decision was taken to seal off a side lane of the road to overcome obstacles facing construction companies.
He also ordered the companies to finalize the 135-kilometer road on time.
The cost of expanding the road will hit 1.92 billion pounds. It will facilitate trade traffic between Egypt and Libya.
After the inspection tour, Dahy paid a visit to the Cairo-Suez road.
