Environment Minister Khaled Fahmy visited the premises of the Saudi Embassy in Giza on Sunday to extend condolences over the death of Saudi King Abdallah ben Abdel Aziz on Friday.
The minister the numerous achievements of the late Saudi king to defend Arabism and Islam with honor, justice, pride and courage.
The late King died early on Friday and his brother Salman succeeded him, the royal court in the world's top oil exporter and birthplace of Islam said in an official statement.
King Salman has named his half-brother Muqrin as his crown prince.
