The Electricity Ministry released a statement on the decree the president had issued on the electricity law to regulate the activities of the Electric Utility and Consumer Protection Regulatory Agency.

The law re-regulates the agency and stipulates that the electricity minister issues its executive regulation within six months from its enforcement, the ministry said.

The law consists of eight chapters and 80 articles and was published in the official gazette.
