Counselor Ahmed Gamaleddin Abdel Latif took the constitutional oath before President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Monday as the new president of the Court of Cassation.

President Sisi and Counselor Abdel Latif held a meeting following the swearing in during which the president stressed the pivotal role played by the Court of Cassation in establishing justice and promoting rights in conformity with the law, Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef said.

The president said the court must continue to play its role as a lofty judiciary pillar.
