Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab has decided to cut short his visit to Toshka and Aswan in the south of the country to inquire after Public Prosecutor Hisham Barakat following an attempt on his life earlier Wednesday.

Mahlab is expected to return to Toskha and Aswan Wednesday evening.

The premier already contacted Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar to follow up developments regarding the attack.
