Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab inspected Karnak Temple in Luxor to follow up the security situation there following a failed terrorist attack outside the the temple on Wednesday.

Mahlab was accompanied by the ministers of communications and information technology, culture, transport, industry and trade and tourism.

The premier directed the ministers to provide programs to facilitate visits paid by Egyptians to the archeological areas and attract foreign tourists to these destinations.

He talked to tourists at the temple, voicing hope they could enjoy their trips to the city.

Mahlab will hold a meeting in Luxor to get acquainted with the security conditions in the city.
