Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab

Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab held on Sunday a meeting with the executive leaderships in the governorate with the attendance of housing, irrigation, health and agriculture ministers as well as the governor.

"We admit that we have problems but we have to be up to the challenges facing us. We are building our nation and we are determined it will include all factors of success," Mahlab said at the meeting.

"The biggest challenge we are facing in this governorate is potable water then health, education and cleanliness," he said.

He added that his visit to the governorate came in response to the many complaints he received from citizens.

He added that he inspected many places to check on services offered to citizens and that he saw some progress in some of them like in Sahraget youths center and some negligence in other places like in the water station where he only found one worker there.

Mahlab warned that administrative corruption is more serious than the financial one, urging officials in the governorate to be up to their responsibilities to build our nation or simply to step aside.

He referred to the accumulating garbage he saw on the banks of the canals, saying the problem of cleanliness is not only about the availability of resources but also it is a problem of administration.

He urged more discipline in river transport mechanism and medical units in the governorate.

The governor updated Mahlab on the problems facing the governorate as well as its needs.
