Egyptian Prime Minister Sherif Ismail urges gearing up for the convocation of the High Egyptian-Sudanese Committee.
During a meeting Saturday with Sudanese First Vice President Bakri Hassan Salih, Ismail highlighted the importance of promoting bilateral cooperation in various domains, underscoring the deeply-rooted Egyptian-Sudanese ties.
The talks tackled cooperation in several agricultural projects that would serve the two countries' interests, Egyptian Cabinet Spokesman Hossam Qashawy said.
Meanwhile, Salih underlined the depth of the Egyptian-Sudanese ties, congratulating Egypt on accomplishing the parliamentary elections, the last step in the roadmap.
He said cooperation with Egypt is open up for all sectors, noting that opening the Qastal-Ashkit ground crossing on the Egyptian-Sudanese borders would facilitate trade between the two sides.
He also underscored cooperation with regard to the Nile file for the best interests of riparian states.
