Cairo - MENA
A non-commissioned officer was wounded Thursday when a home-made bomb exploded outside a building in Heliopolis district of Cairo.
Sappers are now combing the area to make sure that no other bombs are planted.
The policeman was carried to hospital, sustaining leg injuries and minor abrasions.
Violent acts, especially bombings, have been common against Egypt's army and police personnel since the ouster of former president Mohamed Morsi in July 3, 2013 following mass protests against his one-year rule.
