Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar approved an initiative by policemen to pay alms to imprisoned debtors.

An officer has launched the social and humanitarian initiative with an aim to further relations between policemen and people.

The minister ordered coordinating with the prison authority to put the overture into effect before Eidul-Fitr.
