The Public Prosecution has launched wide investigations into fabricated audio records released by websites affiliated to the Muslim Brotherhood group.
The group is using media supported by some foreign parties to destabilize the country, the prosecution said in a statement on Friday.
The prosecution, as part and parcel of the judiciary, investigates criminal cases with full integrity and independence, the statement said.
The prosecution warned of releasing such fabricated news and records that seek to harm the public interest.
The prosecution will decisively confront such bids in line with the law.
