Republican Peoples Party Leader Hazem Omar praised President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's decision to pardon 100 prisoners who were given imprisonment sentences over violations of the anti-protest law.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Omar said the current Egyptian administration was keen to spread security and stability on the Egyptian streets and regain the confidence of youths once again.

Omar also voiced hope over releasing more youth in the coming phase, asserting that the Egyptian president is a father and keen on the cohesion of the Egyptian family.
