Egyptian Ministry of Interior said the security servicesarrested 61 rioters during what it described as "limited demonstrations" staged bythe Muslim Brotherhood in some streets on Friday."The security services aborted attempts by the rioters to block roads and commitviolent acts against civilians in such areas as Cairo, Giza, Beheira, Menya andAssiut," the ministry said in a statement.The police managed to disperse the demonstrations and seize a number of weaponsand Molotov cocktails with some of those detained, the statement noted, adding thata leading member of the Brotherhood was also arrested in Al-Marj district of Cairo.The Ministry affirmed resolve to deal firmly with any unlicensed demonstrations.
