The committee tasked with amending the election laws has requested the High Elections Committee to provide it with the number of voters till May 1, well informed sources at the committee said.

The committee has also requested the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) to provide the latest statistics on the population till the same date, the sources added.

The committee had provided amendments to the electoral laws based on statistics till January 1, 2015.
