Egypt's Ambassador in Riyadh Afifi Abdel Wahab offered sincere condolences to the leadership, government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia over the death of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al-Saud.
"Egypt feels sad over the loss of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al-Saud," Abdel Wahab said in statements to Egyptian private channel CBC II.
He hailed the late king as "was supporter of Arab and Islamic issues."
The Saudi television announced the death of the king early Friday.
