Egypt's Ambassador in Dhaka assumed on Tuesday the post of dean of the foreign diplomatic corps in Bangladesh.

This came in a ceremony held by the foreign diplomatic corps in the country.

The diplomat thanked his counterparts and charge des affaires of the member states of the foreign diplomatic corps for holding the ceremony.

He called for continued support to Egypt's economic development and fight against terror.
