Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa slammed on Friday Jihad calls made by some groups under the cover of Islam to commit terror attacks, asserting that Islam totally rejects the extremist thoughts which threaten the nation's security and stability.
He called on all Egyptians to stand by the Armed Forces and police in the face of terrorism.
Gomaa made such remarks during Friday sermon that he delivered at one of Alexandria Al Morsi Abul Abbas mosque.
