Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa lashed out at those who abuse the “Islamic Caliphate” (succession) concept to play with the people’s feelings, misinterpreting several Islamic texts to this end.
Islam has not set a certain rigid shape for the governance system but laid foundations and principles for good ruling, Gomaa said.
