The Awqaf Ministry warned against using mosques in protests or sit-ins, saying such acts violate the sanctity of mosques.
In a press release on Thursday, the ministry said mosques are not for political and partisan conflicts or for acts that aim to serve personal goals.
The statement said that those who call for raising the Holy Quran or holding sit-ins in mosques during Friday's planned protests aim to destroy all the region's countries.
