The cabinet has decided to toughen up the punishment of stealing electricity in order to decisively address this phenomenon.
During a meeting on Wednesday, Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab directed to intensify campaigns to prevent stealing electricity.
He assigned ministers of justice and electricity to draft the necessary law.
The cabinet directed to prepare for a tourism conference dubbed "Egypt's treasures," which will be held in Sharm El Sheikh by the end of of this year.
