Egypt's Cabinet has denied reports alleging that the convoy of Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab came under a bomb attack.

Such reports are baseless and unfounded, Cabinet spokesman Hossam el Qaweesh said Friday.

He noted that the premier has no convoy to escort him.

"This incident is fabricated," he stressed.

He called on media outlets to seek accuracy, especially in such critical time of Egypt's history.
