The Cabinet endorsed during a meeting on Wednesday under Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab a presidential draft resolution on amending some criminal law provisions about eyewitnesses.
Judicial sources said the draft resolution will be referred to the state council for consideration, adding that the amendments covered articles 277 and 289 of the criminal procedures law.
After the amendments, the court will be entitled to summon the eyewitnesses in order to fulfill the trials as soon as possible.
