The Egyptian community in Ethiopia celebrated the Easter and Sham el Nesim, according to a statement by the Foreign Ministry on Wednesday.

Speaking at the ceremony, Egypt's Ambassador Mohamed Edris said such occasions, which are celebrated by all Egyptians everywhere, "reflect loyalty to the country and assert our unity."

For his part, Egyptian Coptic Church envoy to the Ethiopian Church, Father Anjelios said that the essence of all religions is one, saying that all religions call for love, tolerance and cooperation.
