Egypt's consul in Paris Serenade Gamil said on Saturday she received a cable from the archbishop of the Coptic churches in Paris and northern France to offer condolences over the death of two Egyptian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia.

The cable offered condolences to the families of the victims.

The pair were killed when a crane collapsed at the Grand Mosque in Mecca.

At least 107 people were killed in the incident.
