Cairo Criminal Court decided in its session held Saturday to renew the imprisonment of 275 defendants for 45 days pending investigations.
They face charges of inciting riot during the dispersal of Rabaa el-Adwiya sit-in in August.
The defense team demanded from the court to release the defendants with any warranty, adding that 70 of them suffer from diseases and they need to receive treatment outside the prison.
They are also accused of possessing guns without permission, damaging public as well as private facilities, blocking roads and joining a banned group.
