Defense Minister General Sedqi Sobhi returned home on Friday after a successful visit to Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

In Pakistan, Sobhi met with senior state officials along with officials at the Pakistani Defense Ministry to promote cooperation and military ties between the armed forces of the two countries.

The minister also visited Riyadh, where he met with his Saudi counterpart Prince Mohammed bin Salman, as part of efforts to follow up the latest developments related to the Arab and regional national security.

Prince Salman welcomed the visit of the Egyptian minister, highlighting Egypt's key role in the region.
