The Egyptian Embassy in Kuwait will organize celebrations marking the opening of the New Suez Canal on August 6 and 10. Attending will be Egyptian, Arab and foreign communities in the Arab country, the Egyptian ambassador said.

In statements to MENA on Saturday, Egyptian Ambassador in Kuwait Abdel Kerim Seliman described the New Suez Canal as a fresh Egyptian human miracle by all standards, as the Egyptian people managed to collect over EGP 64 billion within eight days to finance the canal that was established by Egyptian workers in a short time.

The Egyptian people proved that they support their leadership and love their country, the ambassador added.

Egypt will inaugurate the New Suez Canal on August 6, which will massively increase the capacity of the existing canal and offer an important chance to boost the country's economy.
