Egypt's embassy in Tunisia contacted Tuesday the Egyptian mission that is taking part in Carthage Festival to check on them after a blast hit a bus carrying members of the presidential guard in the capital Tunis.

Ambassador Ayman Mushrafa told MENA that the festival is located far from the site of the explosion.

The blast left 11 people dead and 14 others injured.
