Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry

Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry has hailed as "strong" relations with Kuwait.
Kuwait has shown big support for the Egyptian people and government in the wake of the June 30 revolution, Shoukry said in a speech to the 10th session of the Egyptian-Kuwaiti committee, currently convening in Kuwait.
"It is my pleasure to be here today ... in light of both countries' desire to further upgrade the level of relations," Shoukry said.
Egyptians working in Kuwait and Kuwaitis are leading a battle of development, the top diplomat said.
Shoukry and Sheikh Sabah al Khaled are expected to sign 12 agreements in this meeting.
One such agreement is on preventing double taxation between the two countries, Shoukry said, noting that this will be important in creating an investment-friendly climate.
Shoukry thanked Kuwait for hosting this important event.
The 11th session of the Egyptian-Kuwaiti committee will be held next year in Cairo.
