Cairo - MENA
Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry has welcomed the brief cease-fire concluded Sunday between Yemen's warring parties.
In statements Sunday, Shoukry said the step is very positive, calling on Houthis to stop their military actions that endanger Yemen's security and stability.
Such truce would allow the humanitarian aid to reach civilians in the Arab nation's capital, the Egyptian top diplomat added.
He noted that the move would also provide the opportunity for all parties in Yemen to reconsider their stances, solving the current political crisis.
Earlier in the day, the warring factions in the war-torn Yemen agreed to accept a five-day cease-fire, which will begin on Tuesday
