Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim directed on Monday a message to policemen on the occasion of Police Day, which falls on January 25.
In the message, Ibrahim said he is proud of all policemen and that he appreciates their efforts.
"You are up to the responsibility bestowed on you by the Egyptians and we await a new phase of giving," the minister said.
The minister also said that he is sure that every citizen appreciates policemen's role and their sacrifices.
He also paid tribute to the martyrs of the policemen, who offered their lives for the sake of homeland.
